20 July 2020

As part of our programme of work showcasing the social science community’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Campaign for Social Science together with the Academy of Social Science has teamed up with the Policy Institute at King’s College London to launch a new series of short video interviews.

Over the coming weeks leading academics, policymakers and practitioners from across the spectrum of the social sciences will be given a platform to discuss latest projects or research which aim to tackle and mitigate some of the pandemic’s most serious impacts on society and economy, now and into the future.

Paul Johnson FAcSS Director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies kicks off the series with some insights and reflections on the projects he is leading at IFS which focus on the economic consequences of the pandemic and what a post-COVID -19 strategy for economic recovery will need to entail.
