Interested in policy and public engagement? Working with other disciplines, parliamentarians or practitioners to answer big questions? Promoting social science to both young and old? Could you give up a couple of hours on a (probably wet) Friday afternoon in August?
If the answer to any of the above – especially the last one – is yes, then the Campaign for Social Science in Scotland would like to hear from you.
Over the last couple of years, CfSS has built relationships with the Scottish Parliament and Government, organised events for the Festival of Social Science, established the Cross Party Group on Social Science at Holyrood and set up an annual parliamentary reception.
However, there is so much more we could do and CfSS Scotland is keen to hear your ideas and involve as many social scientists as possible in planning activities for 2017/18 and beyond.
If you are – or can be – in Edinburgh on 11 August between 2pm and 4pm, please join us for a discussion of next steps at the Centre on Constitutional Change in Edinburgh University’s Moray House Quad. If you’re interested but can’t make it, please do get in touch anyway.
